Heroes
Terran:

Gerard Dugalle:
Gerard Dugalle has spent the greater part of his sixty-four years defending
the Earth from its enemies. With countless victories to his credit, Dugalle is
possibly the greatest military leader within the UED. It was no surprise that,
due to the extreme nature of the Koprulu expedition, the UED Council decided
unanimously to send Dugalle. Although Dugalle is the consummate soldier, he is
uncomfortably with the prospect of 'using' the Zerg to achieve victory. He
feels that the Zerg represent an unnecessary risk and would rather employ more
conventional tactics in pacifying the war-torn Sector.
Edmund Duke:
General Edmund Duke has been a stalwart defender of the Confederacy for over
forty years. Motivated by his love of power and control rather than any
heart-felt political affiliation, Duke has earned a reputation for running
things 'by the book'. His long years of service with Alpha Squadron have left
him with extensive tactical experience, making him one of the greatest
military minds in the Terran Sector. Despite his abilities, Duke's ego and
insufferable pride often lead to hostile confrontations with those under his
command.
Samir Duran:
Little is known about the enigmatic man who calls himself Samir Duran. By his
own account, Duran served as part of the Confederate Alpha Squadron before the
terrorist Arcturus Mengsk brought down the Confederate establishment. Duran,
sensing a shift in the balance of power within the sector, has assumed command
of a small commando squad that is dedicated to striking at "Emperor" Mengsk
and his new Terran Dominion. Though most of his comrades regard Duran as a sly
and cunning leader, few would believe the truth about his mysterious nature…
Tom Kazansky:
Tom
Kazansky is the best Wraith pilot within the Dominion fleet. He answers
directly to Emperor Mengsk.
Sarah Kerrigan:
Brought into the Confederate Ghost program as a child, Kerrigan was never
given the chance for a normal life. The neural processing treatments that were
used to dampen and pacify her latent psychic powers left her a withdrawn and
introverted young girl. Forced to murder countless enemies of her Confederate
masters, Kerrigan was finally exposed to a series of clandestine experiments
conduced by the Confederate Government. During a raid on a remote Terran
outpost, Arcturus Mengsk discovered and rescued Kerrigan from the Confederate
scientists. The Confederates had ruined both their lives, and it was a simple
matter to convince the young woman to lend her formidable combat skills to his
cause. Although Kerrigan is often called upon to be and executioner, she has
never fully embraced the darker aspect of her true nature.
Magellan:
Magellan has one of the finest scientific minds in the Terran Dominion.
Piloting a Science Vessel, Magellan often assists Emperor Mengsk in whatever
he needs accomplished. His knowledge of Terran and Zerg technology is
surpassed by few.
Arcturus Mengsk:
Arcturus was once a successful Prospector for the Confederate government.
Although his home world, Korhal IV, was a hotbed of civil violence and
anti-Confederate sentiment, Arcturus served his government with courage and
honor. As the civil turmoil reached the boiling point on Korhal, the
Confederates launched a salvo of Apocalypse-Class nuclear missiles at the
inflamed colony. Korhal IV was devastated, leaving Arcturus with only ghosts
of the family and life he once knew. He immediately resigned his Prospector
commission and vowed to bring down the Confederate government that destroyed
his life. Gathering many of the survivors of the Korhal catastrophe, Arcturus
founded a militant terrorist group known as the Sons of Korhal to aid him in
bringing down the hated Confederates.
Gui Montag:
Gui Montag is a Firebat of Omega Squadron 28th. He is also ranked Corporal.
When the Dominion took over, rather than killing him, Emperor Mengsk made him
one of his own generals.
Jim Raynor:
An ex-Confederate Marshal, Jim Raynor is now a loyal supporter of the
anti-Confederate organization led by Arcturus Mengsk. Raynor spent many years
keeping the peace on the colony of Mar Sara, but as Confederate enforcements
became increasingly harsh, Raynor decided to join up with the Sons of Korhal.,
Although he is new to the movement, Raynor has proven himself to be a dynamic
leader and he is well liked and respected by the troops under his command.
Despite his often sarcastic demeanor, Jim is fiercely loyal to the Sons of
Korhal and will put it all on the line without hesitation.
Alan Schezar:
Alan Schezar was an infamous pirate within the sector who employed mercenaries
to do his bidding.. Schezar is most often seen piloting a Goliath. He is now a
general of the Dominion.
Alexi Stukov:
Alexei
Stukov is a brilliant tactician who has spent most of his military career in
top-secret research rather than in actual combat. Stukov is constantly
striving to push the limit of conventional technology and physical theory to
increase the effectiveness of UED troops in warfare. Though Stukov has been a
life long friend of Admiral Dugalle, he was chosen to be second in command of
the Koprulu expedition because of his somewhat unconventional vision. There is
a strong bond between Stukov and Dugalle. Both men were competitive throughout
their youths and still play at getting the best of one another. However,
Stukov bows to Dugalle's rank and position as Admiral and will serve his
friend unquestioningly in the face of danger.
Protoss:

Aldaris:
Aldaris is
a strong believer in the Protoss vision of the New Beginning. He holds the
virtues of communal achievement and selfless honor above all things. Aldaris
is charged with watching over Tassadar's command of the expeditionary force
and is quick to chastise the younger Protoss for his mistakes. Aldaris has no
compunction against branding those who do not conform to Protoss dogma as
heretics and traitors.
Artanis:
Artanis is
the youngest Protoss to achieve the coveted rank of Praetor. Despite his youth
and relative lack of experience, he is a bold and dynamic leader. Although
Artanis was a strong believer of the former Conclave and the destiny of the
Protoss, he still harbors a deep respect and admiration for Tassadar and the
Tribal unification for which he fought. Artanis hopes to become as great a
hero as Tassadar... a hope that may lead the young warrior to forsake his
better judgment in his search for glory.
Dinamoth:
Dinamoth
and his crew accompany Praetor Mojo on his missions.
Fenix (Zealot):
Fenix rose
up through the Templar ranks alongside his friend Tassadar. He is both cunning
and powerful and has fought against the enemies of the Protoss in countless
battles. Capable of strong empathy and tremendous rage, Fenix has long been
one of Tassadar's greatest supporters. Fenix is distrustful of Aldaris and the
Judicator caste, and thus relies only upon the honor of his fellow Templar
warriors and his own unparalleled skill in the theater of battle.
Fenix (Dragoon):
When Fenix
was killed by Kerrigan on the Planet Char. Mengsk rebuilt him in a Dragoon.
Ever Since he has been dedicated to helping the Dominion. Fenix and Duke were
both targeted by Kerrigan in the Brood War. Thanks to Mengsk's Quick thinking
they were both saved and brought to the final battle above Char, where
Kerrigan's reign of terror ended. Fenix though, a great warrior, is killed by
Kerrigan as she is rebuilding the Zerg.
Mojo:
Mojo is a
dedicated Praetor of the Protoss forces. He spends his time working for Aiur's
best interests, but has spent much of his career tracking down the infamous
space pirate, Allen Schezar.
Raszagal:
As one of
the eldest living Protoss, Raszagal has ruled over her Dark Templar Tribes for
nearly five hundred years. Imbued with tremendous psychic powers, she was once
believed to possess one of the most powerful minds in the galaxy. But now,
after selflessly shepherding her Tribe for so many long centuries, Raszagal's
control over her powers has begun to slip. Though Raszagal has kept her Tribes
secluded upon the planet Shakuras, she has always sought to help the Protoss
of Aiur in whatever secret ways she could. Despite her antipathy for the
Protoss Conclave, Raszagal still fervently hopes that all of the progeny of
her distinguished species will one day be reunited.
Tassadar:
Tassadar
exemplifies the growing rift within Protoss society. Born into a new
generation that looks ahead to a dynamic future, Tassadar is frustrated by the
stoic view that his elders hold of the past. Tassadar feels that the unbending
nature of the Protoss and their inability to re-evaluate ancient traditions
will be the doom of this race. Fascinated by the power and mysticism of the
renegade Dark Templar caste, Tassadar hopes to find some way to bridge the gap
between these exiles and his masters.
Tassadar/Zeratul:
Tassadar/Zeratul is the merged product of High Templar Tassadar and Dark
Templar Zeratul. After leaving the battles on Aiur against Mojo's Forces, the
two fuse into an Archon.
Warbringer:
Warbringer
is Praetor Mojo's Reaver. It often accompanies him on his missions.
Zeratul:
Like all of
his dark brethren, Zeratul was banished from the Protoss Home World long ago
for refusing to submit his will to the 'communal glory' of the Khalai. Because
of this, Zeratul harbors a deep seated hatred for the Protoss Conclave and the
Judicator caste who were responsible for his wrongful exile. Zeratul is proud
and noble, but is marked by a dark and tragic aura. Although he is secretive
and calculating, Zeratul is extremely honorable and would gladly risk
everything to defend his long-lost home world of Aiur.
Zerg:

Cerebrate:
Infested Duran:
Infested Kerrigan:
Formerly a
high ranking commander of the Sons of Korhal, Sarah Kerrigan we abandoned on
New Gettysburg, Tarsonis after a mission to neutralize a Protoss fleet.
Kerrigan's camp was overrun by the Zerg, and she was infested to become a
slave to the Overmind. Once hatched from her chrysalis, Kerrigan became second
in rank. She answered only to the Overmind and was higher even than the
revered Cerebrates. Kerrigan was fully dedicated to the Swarm through the
innate psionic link of the Zerg, and helped bring about the Overmind's
invasion of Aiur. During the invasion, a courageous Protoss hero sacrificed
his own life by driving his energy into the heart of the Overmind, killing
himself and the great Zerg Master simultaneously. The Zerg broods scattered in
chaos. But far away on Char, Kerrigan, the self-styled Queen of Blades, knew
that the time of her ascension was at hand and replaced the dead Overmind as
Master of the Zerg Swarms.
The Overmind:
Created
several millennia ago by the enigmatic Xel'Naga, the Overmind represents the
collective consciousness of the Zerg race. Believing that it exists to become
the perfect life-form by assimilating the strongest species in the universe,
the Overmind is obsessed with its sacred mission. Brilliant and cunning in the
extreme, the Overmind will stop at nothing to ensure its success. The Overmind
has the deepest respect for the Protoss, whom it believes to be the greatest
species it has sought to conquer. The inevitable conflict with the Protoss
will be its ultimate test.
